Jeff is a nerd who’s equally happy designing spacecraft or writing fiction and poetry. He spent his career building satellites and rockets as a founding team member at Surrey Satellite Technology, VP at SpaceX, and VP at Millennium Space Systems. Now he’s fake retired and writing about space instead.

His debut novel, Left of Launch, is a story of spaceships, love, and lies set in a billionaire space race. It’s coming soon from Journey Institute Press. His picture book Shabbat on Mars came out in 2025 from Intergalactic Afikomen. He also hosts It’s Not Rocket Science, a podcast about the people behind SpaceX.

He is a spouse, father, stepfather, dog father, and rebbitzman, living in Denver, where the mountains constantly try to lure him away from his computer.
