Jeff is a nerd equally happy designing satellites or writing fiction and poetry. He has fake retired from a career building spaceships and leading teams at the world's most innovative space companies, including SpaceX, Millennium, and Surrey. His writing flows from a lifetime of reading and an urge to explore and share the human, technological, natural, and supernatural wonders that have shaped his life. His first book, Shabbat on Mars, was published in 2025, and he also hosts the "It's Not Rocket Science" podcast.

He is a spouse, father, stepfather, dog father, and rebbitzman, living in Denver, where the mountains constantly try to lure him away from his computer.
